What to pack
A warm, waterproof jacket is an essential item, even in midsummer! Long pants are also recommended for evenings. Don’t forget a swimming costume – swimming towels are provided on request. Suntan lotion (preferably waterproof) and sun block are essential all year as are caps or hats.
Climate
The Eastern Cape weather is notoriously variable, but the ‘Sunshine Coast’ is so-called as this area apparently boasts the most sunshine hours in South Africa but being situated close to the coast, the wind plays an unavoidable part.
