Celebrate your love in untamed splendor at Sibuya’s Forest or River Camps or Bush or Nel’s Lodge
Forest Camp and River Camp provide enchanting settings for weddings of up to 100 guests, each just a brief 5-minute boat ride apart, they’re both included in your chosen package.
Within these Camps, a diverse array of venue options await, offering picturesque backdrops for both your ceremony and reception.
For intimate weddings for up to 50 people Bush Lodge is a superb alternative option.
Sibuya welcomes weddings throughout the year, though availability and minimum stay requirements vary seasonally, often necessitating reservations up to a year in advance. While there is no venue fee for weddings, a coordination fee may apply for assistance with planning and organization.
During wedding events, the reserve is exclusively reserved for the celebration, ensuring a tranquil atmosphere free from disruptions for your special day. Therefore, all accommodation in both across River and Forest Camps must be booked for the specified minimum duration as outlined below:
Peak Season
A minimum of three nights in both River Camp and Forest Camp
• 15th December to 10th January
• 1st February to 15th April
• 15th October to 30th November
All other dates
• 11th to 31st January
• 16th April to 14th October
• 1st to 14th December
Wedding itineraries must be confirmed 60 days prior to your wedding date. Any changes made after this date incur a fee, this will include changes made to your itinerary, menu, beverage list and rooming list. Please direct all queries to Mariette Olivier: marketing@sibuya.co.za

General info about accommodation and catering
- Sibuya sleeps 38 adult guests – 16 in Forest Camp, 8 in River Camp, 8 in Bush Lodge and 6 in Nel’s Lodge. Additionally, most tents and the Lodges can accommodate two or more children sharing with adults.
- Accordingly, couples need to organize that their family and guests take up the balance of the 11 tents in both camps
- Nel’s Lodge as an exclusive venue and Bush lodge having only 4 suites are more suited to intimate weddings
- Our rates are fully inclusive of all meals (excluding the reception dinner), boat transfers to/from camps/lodges and all game drives for in house guests
- Sibuya chefs can cater for wedding receptions with maximum of 30 guests. Larger weddings are outsourced and not catered for by Sibuya (please see below)
- For weddings larger than 38 adults and children sharing, accommodation for the balance can be arranged with the numerous B&B’s in Kenton-on-Sea; reservations can help with a contact list
- These guests can drive to the Sibuya entrance and will be shuttled by game vehicle to the reception at the camps for a nominal shuttle fee
- Bush Lodge and Nel’s Lodge guests not accommodated on the Reserve can drive to the venue
- Boat transfers from Kenton can also be arranged, depending on numbers, and will be quoted for separately
- Bookings need to be made at least 6 – 12 months in advance to ensure availability

Our venue coordination fee includes coordinating
- Pre-wedding site inspections for members of your wedding party (groomsmen, bridesmaids), DJ’s, photographers, videographers, caterers etc.
- Wedding rehearsal
- Itineraries for guests not staying at Sibuya and all wedding day service providers.
Venue coordinating fees:

- 2026 – R10,746
Any services supplied over and above those stipulated in the venue coordination fee, will be charged for.

We offer a 30% discount on accommodation for weddings booked directly with Sibuya:

- In the absence of a wedding planner Sibuya will assist for a nominal fee
- Boat transfers to/from Forest Camp for non-resident guests are charged for at R300 per person return.
- Reception dinner to be quoted separately depending on menu.
- If Sibuya is required to run the bar and supply waiters, drinks are supplied at cost plus 20%
- Sibuya’s wedding gift to the newlyweds is a further night, or the first night of the honeymoon, at no charge.
- Any guests wishing to extend their stay beyond the minimum will be accommodated at the special prices above.

Rhino Conservation Levy
16 January 2025 - 15 January 2028. The Rhino Conservation Levy charged at R267 per adult and R134 per child under the age of 12 for River Camp, Forest Camp and Bush Lodge.
